Save the dark sky which was the intent of the New Mexico 1999 Night Sky Protection Act.

It is just as important to protect dark skies as it is to protect any endangered species, be it plant or animal. Electronic billboards are totally inappropriate outside city centre and should be banned in residential, suburban and rural areas. This should be non negotiable. The business community will have no right to complain as they will all be on a level playing field.

what a waste of time and energy. it is bad enough when you have to sit through commercials watching the news or sports. we do not need to clutter up the roadways with more commercial garbage.

I support this petition in part because I have a sister, brother, and sister-in-law who are long-time residents of the great State of New Mexico whom I visit often.

I visit New Mexico to see the night skies, not billboards! If you want to see billboards, go to Los Vegas or Saint George.

It is too late here in Chicago. If you have not seen what digital LED billboards look like at night, consider yourself lucky.

PLEASE, we have too few places with naturally dark nights left in the US. Part of what makes New Mexico so special is the quality of your night sky. PLEASE, don't take away one of your greatest natural treasures. There is no need to populate the sky with ugly electronic billboards. Keep your roads beautiful and protect the sky that rest of us in the US drool over. YOU ARE SO LUCKY to have what has been stolen from rest of us.

As an amateur astronomer with a home in Teuque, I strongly agree that light polution, in this case in the form of electronic billboards, is to be avoided. As you would not wish to throw garbage on our roads and pollute the land, you should not wish to shine bright lights which pollute our night sky. Thank you.

How can a Commission just go ahead on their own to allow something that is prohibited by law? Whoever allowed this contrevention of law should be fired immediately!
