I am surprised and disappointed with the DOHH decision to charge the Farmers market vendors for power. I would hope that they will change their minds and apologize for the ridiculous request.

Come on District of Hudson's Hope, this seems ridiculous to charge the Farmers market for power! The market brings life to the community and brings people in to town.

I am appalled that the DOHH would stoop this low. Aren’t they saving seventy thousand a year with all the solar around the community? How much did it cost for the $20 last year.

I live at Moberly Lake and come to the Hudson Hope Farmers Market when I can. Great products and great community spirit! I feel that the District needs to continue to promote this viable asset with this mere $20.00 that brings so much more to the community.

I'm sure that the income created by the farmer's market attracting tourist to stop in our community is much greater than the electricity used by vendors.

I can think of and name some other events that consume power in our little community. I have yet to see any vendor at the farmers market draining the grid.

Why does council always have to make it so difficult for volunteers to put things on in this community? We should be celebrating the success of the Farmers Market- not punishing them.
