We, concerned citizens and parents of children in Newton Public schools, demand that the Administration and the School Committee work with NPS teachers to reach a signed contract, which represents appropriate compensation for teachers and staff. We are aware that our teachers have not had a cost of living increase in years and that their salaries are well below the salaries of our neighboring educationally comparable towns. This lowers the existing teachers morale and reduces our potential to attract and retain the highest caliber of teacher. SUPPORT NEWTON EDUCATORS. SETTLE THE CONTRACT NOW.

Fair contract now and especially take care of newer teachers who are far behind their counterparts in other districts! Show teachers you value them.
Teachers salaries compared to other professionals are the lowest already, an increase to match cost living increase is not only fear but a necesity.
Cannot say enough about how much my girls love their teachers and how much my girls have learned from them! We have found all of their teachers have gone above and beyond to ensure the best for our kids! Please support our teachers by giving them the salary increase they wholeheartedly deserve!
I am the grandparent of 3 children in the Newton School System and am very much in favor of the Newton teachers receiving the contract that they deserve!
Our Newton teachers deserve fair compensation each year! We as a community deserve to not lose teachers to surrounding districts b/c we don't pay them enough. Support our teachers and our community!
Educators should not be underpaid. That should be a crime, and is ridiculous and unacceptable.

i am so proud of the teachers of memorial spaulding. Their selfless dedication and love for teaching is reflected in the love of our kids for their school. They deserve better work conditions and a better pay!
