My mother with advanced dementia has been quarantined in her room for 6 of the last 8 weeks. This is abuse!

Thankfully, there are petitions being signed in many states. My mother is an 88 year old vented patient in Brooklyn. This region was the center of the Pandemic for several moths. So the precautions were understandable. However, that has all changed now. Our loved ones are being subjected to cruel conditions isolated and alone. I was allowed a 20 minute a few weeks ago, but they have shut down again. No way to establish a good connection in such a limited amount of time. I would imagine that patients are not in jeopardy from Covid as much, but are in jeopardy because of the Covid restrictions.

Nursing homes need to let essential caregivers in it is their right to be with someone who can care for them.

Please revise the regulations to allow one essential caregiver per resident who is subject to testing, PPE, etc. this is becoming cruel and inhumane punishment for our loved ones.

My family has been unable to visit my 92 year old grandmother for 6 months. It’s a miracle she is still with is at all and this situation has been incredibly stressful and difficult for my mother. I’m sure there is a safe protected way we could visit her. Please help us move forward with this. Thank you.

My father was moved from Phoenix to Tucson due to the surge in Covid19 cases in Phoenix. He is 88 when my mom was taken to see him she said he seemed confused and made no sense. He was 3 miles away from my mom’s house now he’s 80 miles away. The decisions these bureaucrats are making have detrimental consequences. Prayers

This feels so cruel and unnecessary, nursing home residents should be able to see their families outside, while they can before the numbers likely rise again in the fall.
