These girls are amazing at what they do: It would be devastating to this business industry of Idaho to not have MNM studios.

Freelance makeup artists are an absolute vidal piece to any wedding, fitness shoot, prom and professional photography. Being able to pickup at a drop of a hat and meet a client within hours of a call is what these artists do. Without these artists and their flexibility any professional photo shoot would simply not be possible.

I know several professionals who help take care of clients in the wedding and event industry and this is a huge problem for future businesses.

As a photographer it isn't just convenient, it's *necessary* to have makeup artists on site for certain shoots. In addition to being a huge burden on the wedding industry, this law basically makes it illegal to break into fashion photography through getting published editorials, which benefit from having a makeup artist on site to do multiple looks and contribute to the shoot. Let's get this law changed!

They should be allowed to do makeup offsite.

This law doesn't make sense...sounds like that law shouldn't be legal. Why should the state have control over that aspect of a business?!

This is outrageous and outlandish regulations. What is happening to our state?!!!

I think you should be licensed in your trade to be able to charge for a service...but other than that the rules need changed for off-site services.

People should be free to help others in voluntary contracts without intervention from 3rd parties who have nothing to do with the original peaceful interaction!

As an event venue owner who has created a gorgeous vanity area in our Bridal room for our Bride's to get ready with ease and enjoy the beautiful scenery as they do so, I know this is very disappointing to many of them. I also have seen how it is affecting wonderful businesses that women have started in an effort to stay home with their kids and yet still provide for their families. Please reconsider these laws to allow small businesses to thrive in Idaho.

This is awesome and I can't believe it's not legal yet! I am very happy to sign the petition.

It's time for Idaho to update its laws regarding freelance hair & makeup workers, for sure!

As a wedding photographer I understand the importance of having hair and makeup on site on your wedding day. It's time for this law to be updated.
