The current Idaho law is archaic regarding this issue. I have had several reasons to request an out of office visit from a make-up artist. Weddings, family pictures, etc. when going into a salon was not possible or preferable. I support changing the law as it currently stands to allow independent cosmetologists and estheticians to perform their job legally at locations other than the salon.

This law needs to be updated! The photography and video industry relies on freelance makeup artists to help our business run. They should be aloud to practice their craft wherever they choose.

Honestly, this is ridiculous! Who are these people who make such laws? I would love to know the meaning behind this. What it would they benefit from & what reasoning as to why it even was created.
