I can't understand how you can have a food truck. or you can have a mobile business doing manicures and pedicures both with way more risk than cutting hair and not have ability to have a mobile salon. mind blowing

Colorado allows free lancing! I have worked a mobile salon in Colorado and know others that have for many years. I don’t understand why it is not legal in Idaho!

I too am being told I can not go in the homes of elders who are home bound to cut their nails. This is a disservice to our community and elders who need care! This law must be revisited!

I am so enthusiastic for this cause! Extension artists could transform a bad situation to a great one on site if given the freedom and opportunity to do it without offering services free of charge and losing time and money. This is not an industry that can be totally stationary. Beauty on the go is where the world is now. We can carry our liability insurance to protect all involved, and share our amazing skills to those in need.

As a free lance make up artist, I support this petition! Make up is an art, and should NOT be illegal in Idaho for artists to share their talent & passion to help others enhance their natural beauty. I am a Maryland Natural Hair stylist Institute of Justice IJ was very helpful, I took on Maryland lawmakers proposal hr499 hr1124, Maryland passed the Mobilization bill for hairstylist etc. To perform services off site look into it.
Also checkout Future Beauty Industry Coalition press release, National Testing Mobilization Affordability Access Protection
Good luck I definitely understand how devastating this can feel. It made me get up Natural Hair stylist don't use chemicals.
Now in Maryland licensed cosmetologist can perform services outside of the establishment.
Also look at how Dry Bar license ( A Licens e to Blow Dry Hair ) ridiculous passed and Alcohol served in business who provide beauty services in MD

Current laws need to change! Getting a cosmetology license does not automatically make you a great makeup artist. I've attended Cosmetology school and although we learned what the book has to say, WE DID NOT DO ANY MAKEUP PRACTICE! They did not have proper tools or even makeup WHATSOEVER.
Is this something all schools are going to fix if this petition does not pass? Because I for one, have spent atleast $1000 getting the proper tools, cleansers, and quality makeup!! And that is for ONE person! Not an entire school!

I'm a freelance Makeup Artist. I have attended cosmetology school abd paased my state boards FIVE years ago. And although i never decided to pursue hair, I've always loved makeup and wanted to start my business last year.
The fact that you have to be licensed is RIDICULOUS because you are not working woth harsh chemicals, or hot tools that could potentially hurt a client.
