I know people who met this woman before she was married and who continue to keep in touch with the couple. Please demonstrate compassion and grant her status as a permanent resident of Australia

Really? married to an Australian and hardly likely to be a terrorist? Yet no one has the care and compassion to allow her to make a new life here with her husband... i think that is really poor form.. Mean and Nasty in fact. Go one have a heart let her stay... you know it will make you feel good.

This is appallingly cruel of the immigration department! She should be immediately released and free to remain in Australia.

So tired of the abuse, Mr Dutton. It is NOT acceptable. Intervention is your duty. Cruelty and torture is not.

This woman is legitimately married to an Australian permanent resident ! Why is she being prevented from living with him especially after spending years living in Australia ??? Random nonsensical cruelty !!

How can ANY politician or Govt official who calls himself "Australian" possibly sit by and allow this sort of thing to happen!!??

Dutton; a minister who won't intervene because it's considered 'domestic violence'. It this wasn't so serious it would be a joke. Oh that's right! He is already. To think he considers himself a Christian!

Why would you choose not to help a person who has survived personal abuse, domestic violence, displacement and despite all this, has managed to show that she can learn and is smart. An easy choice.

Because everybody is born equal in rights and dignity. We do not imprison innocent people without crime indefinitely. That's against international and moral law. Everyone should be free to fall in love. Wishing you all the best. - Miriam (Studengs for Refugees).
