Here's a genuine case of a person whilst seeking refuge, has managed to find a permanent resident whom she married. The legislation denying her the right to apply for a partner visa is a lousy piece of legislative construct. The Minister has the power to intervene, for once Peter Dutton, show some spine and be your own man and make the right choice - allow this women back into society. At worst allow her exit to a third country from where she can lodge her partner visa, and let her return on a bridging visa. You have the power to do this.
