Time to turn Australia around. This shouldn’t be a place where people are removed to a detention facility in the dead of night, just because they spoke to the press.

I trust the information coming from Yerong High School. This young couple will be an asset to our community. Treat them fairly, not like criminals. Action (like this) based on law isnt always fair compassionate humane or ethical. Aside from the incalcuable human cost, this miscarriage of justice is a misdirected waste of government time and money. There are no grounds adequate for detaining this young woman who has been working hard to make a free and better life.

Australians believe in fair go and we are promoters of human rights. I am so shocked with the recent treatment to refugees by our government. It doesn't represent the people, Australians are much better than that.

Please show some fairness and compassion, terrible Liberal Government. You don't need to rule with an iron fist. The boats have stopped, why do we need to continue to punish and hurt people in the most callous of ways?

This is not how our leaders should behave. A speedy release and happy life ahead to you both.

Australia, you are attracting the attention of the international community. Do not forget, you were once immigrants. This woman is an asylum seeker, do the humane and rational thing unite her with her husband.

This young lady was studying. Allow her to complete her studies, and don't send her back to a country which is well-known for its human rights abuses.

suffRAGE Grant me my petition Respectfully I do implore Elected creator of our position Give your eye to more than the law Officiate to end the sacrifice Repeal the closure of the door Your discriminations on anothers’ life Justice denied the victims fleeing war Open your heart to their plight Honour your commitment to the Convention Nations United a sanctuary in the flight Ordained refuge without discrimination ‘til again all live in peace and love Forgo your fear your xenophobia Let compassion now rise above Anothers’ blind and selfish paranoia Hear the cries of those who have died Each leaving their broken families tears Reflect on all the tears your own mothers cried Torn from their loves through war and fears Yet you our Petitioned prayer of suffrage lead to suffer. 1.51am Australian EST 10th April 2010 Copyright Gregory John O’Flaherty

Very sad to here she has been moved from Brisbane where she was studying her HSC. This situation is wrong on so many levels. I hope this family can be reunited asap.

Please everyone refrain from bad comments as it can backfire. The laws were set in place long before this government so all sides of politics have to question their humanity. I have studied immigration law and would like to know the reasons why she is detention. Milad please send me a PM with the details.
