Once again this government makes me ashamed and embarrassed to be Australian.

This govt of Australia is disgusting. I did not vote for the Liberals. I did not vote for this govt and will never support any govt that abuses refugees.

Deliberately inflicting unnecessary suffering is never justified, no matter what the policy issue.

I have known this couple for quite a while and would love them to be together in Australia like me and my wife.

This is not the kind of Australia we want. Disgraceful government.

As someone married to a foreigner who received residency after our marriage, I feel for this couple. I'm very saddened to see Australia becoming a 'big brother' country where it seems no one, even residents with dual-nationality, can live in peace.

Who would not be ashamed to call themselves Australians with a government that treats people like this?

How terrible this must be for the young couple. Some rules and regulations have absolutely no sense t them, and this is one of them. PLEASE get this young woman out of detention and living happily with her husband as she once did.

I am ashamed of this Aust. Government. Where is the compassion? Where is the 'give people a go' attitude gone? Give these two young people a life together. There is no reason to behave this way.

This situation is inexcusable. This woman is an asset to the community, yet she is being locked away while authorities try to send her back to the place from which she fled to find safety. Shame!

This is not Australia. We are so much better than this. I apologise from the bottom of my heart that we have allowed this to happen.
