It is a travesty of our democracy that we imprison people whose only 'crime' is to seek asylum using a strategy for arrival (people smugglers and ships) that was used by almost all the Eastern European WWII refugees who have since contributed so much to our country.

There are many injustices in the world ,yet in a country that values freedom , hope for the future and dreams, this issue ,and for all , who suffer human indignation in detention centers ..and those who strive to stifle and hide such indignation .. It is a shameful act against humanity.. Simply ...Wrong!

We profess to be a welcoming, caring, non-discriminating, all accepting multi-cultural country. Sadly through the extreme anti propaganda of this country's government we've become a laughing stock throughout the world. I challenge PM Abbott to show that he is a true Aussie and give this woman a fair go and release her from detention! We the people of Australia will no longer stand for this brutality from this Liberal Anti discriminating govt!! Not in my name!

This woman left Iran because she wasn't safe there - and now she's been separated from her husband so our government can send her back into danger. Not in my name!

Please release this woman. She is married to an Australian and needs to be recognized as an Australian citizen with all the rights of a citizen.

Our government's treatment of asylum seekers sinks to ever worse levels of inhumanity. It's hard to conclude that the deliberate and brutal separation of a young wife from her Australian husband is as punishment for daring to speak up for her natural rights. How much worse can it get? I'm ashamed to be an Australian!

This is a ridiculous situation that Australia must be ashamed of. Let these people get on with their lives working and living here. Locking up people who have done nothing wrong is totally insane

Set this woman free. Set asylum seekers free. Set this country free from the evil that causes it to detain innocent people. Such shame.

Detention Centres are such an easy solution, aren't they. They're Australia's Too-Hard-Basket. Inhuman. Shameful.
