Help Make Recreation a Priority in Jackson Demonstration State Forest

Keep recreation cycling at the forefront Thanks

Recreation should be added to the mandate to this demonstration forest.

A demonstration forest is supposed to be an example of how to integrate sustainable harvest and recreational use. This seems like it’s all about harvest and I oppose the one sided proposition

We need places to be outside!!!

Whatever money is extracted from this profoundly beautiful ecosystem will not be worth its' destruction.

Love these trails. Please don't log these areas or at least keep the trails intact and keep away from them. They are a real asset and our family won't go to Mendocino and recreate. Don't destroy something that brings people into this area.

So much of this area is just now starting to recover from many decades of massive timber harvesting. But it needs more time. Please consider delaying further timber harvesting for at least another decade or two so the area can better recover.

Recreation = tourism = $ = jobs.

JDSF offers wonderful recreation opportunities. I'm hopeful that planners will find a less impacting way to extract a bit of revenue from this wonderful place.

Please save the mtb trails that are a great boost to the local economy, as well as a natural treasure for mountain bikers, by planning the logging areas to avoid the trail area. This is easy to do as there are vast areas to log that would not destroy the very hard work of local people and the beautiful trails they have created.

Not money rules the (real) world, nature does!

This would be horrible... save this area from another round of logging. Maintaining the Jackson Forrest mountain biking trail network will bring more money to the economy of Mendocino County than just for a few few that will profit from these harvesting plans.

JDSF is a big draw for tourism in Mendocino and between that and not being able to access the trails they have built, the locals will suffer quite a lot from this timber harvest.

Recreational tourism is critical for the Mendocino area. It seems like the timber needs should be balanced with the need for trails.

I support logging in demonstration forests. It's apart of what makes them "demonstration" But recreation is also a part of what makes these forests "demonstration" Please make recreation a primary mandate so all the user groups have a voice in how and when sections of JDSF get logged

Prioritize recreation in forest

Save the trails, there are other places to harvest for Heaven's sake.

Saving the trails also helps your local hospitality industry.

CA - Please save the trails in JDSF! They provide an irreplaceable recreation opportunity for the community. Families, children, young and old enjoy the forest trails. Please preserve them for future generations!
