Help Make Recreation a Priority in Jackson Demonstration State Forest

Presumably there's no legal recourse to prevent the trees fom being cut down, but maybe steps to lessen trail damage, and/or promote compatability with Land Owners for continued use rather than banning use should be the focus. I've never ridden there but have long wanted to get around to doing so. Good luck. Thanks.

The value of maintaining intact forests, and prioritizing them as destinations for recreation, will without a doubt outweigh any short-term economic benefits of resource extraction.

Please keep the trails accessible to bikes. I will gladly volunteer to help maintain.

I love mountain biking in this area and know a lot of other people who would be heartbroken if these trails were lost.

My family and I are frequent visitors to the Mendocino coast. Mountain biking the JSDF trail system is one of the key factors that keeps us coming back.

This beautiful land deserves to be appreciated and used appropriately, including recreation as part of it's mandate. Timber harvest plans should respect local people and not include large logging operations close to habitation. Smaller operations in adjacent areas would be more respectful to both forest life and the humans who recreate here.

Please retain as many mountain biking trails at Jackson as possible! JDSF is huge and it seems like it would be very easy to avoid the most commonly used trails on the western edge of the forest. Those trails are the main reason for me and my tourist dollars to visit that part of Mendocino County. Thanks!

I have had the blessing of riding many of these beloved trails and would be heartbroken if we lost access to them. Please consider the importance of public access to safe outdoor recreation prior to financial gains.

I regularly travel to Mendocino and Fort Bragg for the purpose of mountain biking and enjoying the woods. I bring my whole family and others and we spend a weekend if not more. If trails are closed, we will likely head elsewhere.
