Need speed & surveillance cameras at our traffic lights to catch speeders & car/bike thieves!

We have lived in this community for 20 years and have endured the racing and people running the light at Burhamthorpe and Promontory (including Mississauga Transit and School Buses!). We need action to slow the speed of traffic. Let's not wait until more people are hurt or killed.

Agree with all the proposals and would like to add that we need speed bumps along Bridlepath Trail. Too often we have high speeding cars coming off of Mississauga Rd into our neighbourhoods leaving our children, elderly and all of us at risk. I've complained to our MPP and called the police and they always tell me that it is usually those that live in your neighbourhood that are the culprits. They have suggested taking down licence plates and reporting through Road Watch. There is a city council meeting on Tuesday May 26th @ 9:30am. You need to register before noon on the May 25th. Guardrails are needed to protect pedestrians, pets and cyclists on westbound Burnhamthorpe (northside) after the credit river bridge. This is way overdue.

Police radar was prevalent a few years ago and I have seen one for a long time

For many years cars speed along Burnhamthorpe Road. I walk daily along Burnhamthorpe Rd. Where the accident occurred. On numerous occasions I have seen cars speed along that stretch and have feared one could leave the road and hit me. A barrier needs to be installed where the road curves and speed monitoring needs to be implemented. I hope the city and police can help make that happen!

I hear motorcycles SCREAM down this road everyday. Evening are particularly bad. More people will die in accidents if this is not remediated

Speeding and modified mufflers a huge problem on the Credit River bridge on Burnhamthorpe.

Something needs to be done to deter people from speeding along this stretch of Burnhamthorpe!

Agree with all of these proposals. I am disgusted by the city's lack of action with respect to making this stretch of high traffic road safer. Happy to do whatever it takes to help including demanding action from the mayor, MPP and MP.

My backyard pool backs onto Burnhamthorpe Rd. My fear has always been flying car parts ending up in my pool awhile we're in it. I fully concur with this petition as stated. Looking forward to a joint session with the city to review this matter.
