My daughter's HS squad has a 9th grader with downs. She's a wonderful contributor to the team. Not only does her participation do great things for her, but also for the group as a whole...lessons in acceptance, tolerance, compassion, and love. It's a beautiful thing and is beneficial to everyone. #BringMaddieBack

I guarrentee that if you ask the other girls trying out they would say it was fine to give her the information early.

We had a girl with special needs on our team at Rockwall Highschool & she became one of our sisters.

Everyone deserves a chance to feel important and a part of something. Her disorder doesn't mean she can't be an awesome cheerleader!
