My daughter's HS squad has a 9th grader with downs. She's a wonderful contributor to the team. Not only does her participation do great things for her, but also for the group as a whole...lessons in acceptance, tolerance, compassion, and love. It's a beautiful thing and is beneficial to everyone. #BringMaddieBack

I guarrentee that if you ask the other girls trying out they would say it was fine to give her the information early.

We had a girl with special needs on our team at Rockwall Highschool & she became one of our sisters.

Everyone deserves a chance to feel important and a part of something. Her disorder doesn't mean she can't be an awesome cheerleader!

It's awesome that she's giving it her all and she'll probably more enthusiastic than half the girls on the team! What if it was your kid guys? Come on now if she can cheer let her cheer

Please consider an accomodation for The groundbreaking opportunity. Everyone learns important lessons this way. Everyone WINS. Think about if this were your child.

Having a special needs child on the team would benefit all involved.
