Every child deserves a fair chance at trying out for a team sport. Accommodations does not make it less fair for the other girls trying out, it makes it an even playing field for all. Do the right thing and give Maddie a fair shot.

What is wrong with these kids getting an opportunity to fit in and be a part of something? Is having a top cheer team with flawless routines more important than compassion for human beings?

As a helper on a special needs team, I believe any and every athlete should be able to participate in cheer. If it makes her happy, the school should let her be a part of it. I wish you the best of luck!

My son attended Coyle & I always was proud to say he attended Coyle. Please give this sweet girl the extra time & tools she needs to tryout. I would want to continue to be PROUD of Coyle Middle School.

I hope Madison gets to tryout! We had a girl with down syndrome on my high school squad a few years ago and it was an amazing experience to have her there and it will be amazing to have Madison on their squad!
