As a former high school and all star cheer coach I can attest that having special needs athletes on teams not only improves the team, but teaches vital life lessons to advisors, fellow athletes, administrators, and peers. There should be no reason as to why this school is segregating this child from a sport she loves.

On my high school varsity team we were HONORED to have a disabled student on our team cheering along side us. Cheer made her truly happy and boosted her confidence, I hope Maddie has the same opportunity. Bless you and good luck!
