If she is capable of learning a competitive cheer routine for 10 years then she is more than capable of performing a middle school routine. There is much less athletic ability as well as routine memorizing typically needed for a middle school team. She should be allowed to have the routine presented to her to give her the opportunity to learn the steps. Jobs have to give accommodations to the disabled, schools certainly should as well. There are many reasons it is a good idea for a special needs student to participate, including teaching tolerance to the able bodied so called 'normal' kids.

Each day we strive to make each kid with disabilities feel as normal as possible and this is one way to make her feel normal and privledge. Your ISD should be ashamed if you don't even give her the opportunity to try.
