I'm one of Maddie's former teachers. She is such a happy, enthusiastic, go getter...and any cheer team would be lucky to have her. Society needs to embrace ALL differences; it's WAY past time for these precious children. GO MADDIE!!!!

Maddie deserves the right to cheer for her high school team and should be allowed the special accommodations to help her be successful!

Every child should feel as if they belong no matter their disability! The message this school is sending is that the whole child does not matter. My daughter has cheered all star for many years and she is used to seeing all kinds of teams from all over the US. The ones that ALWAYS get the LOUDEST cheers are the inclusion teams. This school has got to get their act together.

Middle school cheer team should not have any discrimination towards anybody your daughter is probably an awesome cheerleader with all star and has probably an amazing personality and probably so spunky so I don't see why they wouldn't allow her to cheer I really hope you guys can get her to cheer

Let Maddie cheer! She's an awesome cheerleader, person and leader in the community. There is absolutely no reason other than other than plain bigotry to not let her cheer

A girl with spinabifida and in a wheelchair was a cheerleader with my daughter at The Woodlands High School. Those girls are now 32 and still a group of about 20 get together every year at Christmas and have shared college life and weddings and babies and life. They all have learned a lot from Christie and I'm glad that she is in our lives.
