Madison is deserving of a chance to do this. The school owes it to her to reconsider there stance!

I teach transition in NISD and my daughter is a high school cheerleader at Byron Nelson. Let her be on the team! Really it's middle school cheer it's not a worlds team!! I have a former cheerleader from Byron currently in my transition program and those were the best years of her life. As far as the educational part of being on a team like cheerleading it develops a child in special education that a classroom would never do. Socially they make leaps and bounds of faster progress than there friends that are in sped. And my goodness... She has done allstars for 10 years I guarantee you she is better than most of the girls trying out in middle school! As for the cheer coach... You should be ashamed of yourself for not putting her on the team last year! We don't need teachers like you with no heart!!!!!!!!

I think it's great to have this petition to fight for her. I am a high school cheerleader and I would do the same thing if they would not give me the accommodations that I would like.

I coach a special needs Allstar team and every child deserves the right to feel part of a team!!! I'm also a school teacher and fully support you and your daughter. A few accommodations will not hurt anything!

This is discrimination in it's purest form. What is the matter with the Coyle Middle School?
Do the right thing & let her tryout & make it.
