I owed a comp team and I had a little girl names Rachel. She has Down syndrome!!! I couldn't have had the team I had that year without her!!! She kept up and was an outstanding athlete!!!! Good luck!!!!

As a parent of children with special needs and a teacher in this district, I think it is extremely important to allow all children every opportunity to develop and progress toward their individual potential.

Let this little girl be apart of her local middle school cheerleading program. She isn't asking for much just to be included, it is wrong to discriminate against her by not providing her the special help needed to be up to par with the other athletes trying out. In school classes they have IEP teachers to help with children who need special assistance, why can't the same rules apply for sports.
