We need to do everything and anything to help this young lady. She has enough obstacles in her life. I pray this school gets right and lets this young lady cheer

I believe that Madison should have a fair shot, with the accomidations needed to try out for cheerleading.

This girl has cheer experience and no behavior issues that will interfere with the cheering.....think outside the box Coyle cheer coach and stand up for what is right

Surely, this is illegal to not allow a child equal opportunity. Is the school so lazy that they couldn't be bothered making accommodations for Maddie? Is this the 60's? She should be allowed to compete especially with all the experience she has under her belt. She would be an asset to any cheer team. She should be in the team. Let her cheer!

I cannot believe this is even an issue. Every child should be able to at least have a chance of doing what they love and feeling accepted.

You should seek legal representation. Call you state bar and ask if a lawyer would assist on a pro bono (basis). I've seen a similar situation in another state.

As someone who works with people who have intellectual disabilities I can honestly say this - every single person involved with helping this young lady achieve her goals will benefit exponentially from this.

Where is your humanity that you wouldn't allow this child to participate in an activity she loves wholeheartedly? Isn't that what "winning" truly is about? Do the right thing.

Maddie is beyond special, and this is not only for her but anyone else who "doesn't meet criteria".
