Please reconsider to have accommodations for any child with a disability to tryout and participate in ALL school activities. Madison Thompson is an amazing cheerleader and deserves the chance with modifications to tryout for cheer

Hi Maddie! I'm a currently a cheerleader on a Senior Level 4 team and just want to say we need more leaders like you in our community, ones who are brave and not afraid to quit. I went to a school in GISD, so you and I have a lot alike. I just want you to know that I'm rooting for you and would be more than willing to help you in anyway I can for your next tryout! Stay strong sweet girl❤️

This is ridiculous! My child does competitive cheer, also. Is the coach scared that she will be as good, if not better than the girls on her squad because quite frankly that is what will happen? Don't worry about how stupid you're going to look for not adding her last year. This is absolutely discrimination. Maybe a new coach should be hired or your school board members need voted out during the next election. My daughter actually quit middle school cheer because of a bad coach. Out of 8-10 girls on the squad, only MY child could tumble. The coach seemed extremely bothered by this...not that the other girls had no talent, but she didn't like my daughter to use hers. I really hope that the right thing is done, but if not I hope this child remembers that she cheers competitively. She only had two minutes and thirty seconds to rock that mat at every competition . There are four quarters to a ballgame and she will always do more and be better than 2, 4, 6, 8 who do we appreciate in that two minutes and thirty seconds! GIVE HER A CHANCE #letstakethisnational
