Please allow her to cheer...my daughter cheers as well... its heart breaking to see a childs passion for something and their not allowed to participate because of their disabilities

Thinking of you and your daughter from Maine! I hope it all works out and she gets to cheer, she probably even knows more about cheer than most middle schoolers do, being in her 10th year of all star. Good luck!

Every child deserves to shine and be happy. Criticizing and judging one child based on others is immoral and so wrong on so many levels. It destroys their confidence and dreams.

Go Maddie!! I also have a daughter with Down syndrome name Madi she loves cheer and this is what I fear when she's in middle school and high school . I hope they do help her I don't see anything g wrong about helping her for try outs. Keep advocating for your daughters passion Wish you all the best

A simple video or some sort of instructions should be available for this young girl. Having a special needs person on the team would not only do so much for her but in return the team.
