My granddaughter is a Jr. Varsity cheerleader in Austin and I know she would love Maddie as a teammate! I am sure the team as well as Maddie would be truly blessed! Let's embrace differences and love one another!

This shouldn't even be a thing. Why is she not being accomodated? It automatically should've happened

I think every child regardless of whether they have a disability or not should have the same rights and should not be discriminated against. What would it hurt to let this child cheer??? Absolutely nothing!!!!Obviously they are not going to be throwing her in the air nor is she going to be doing any lifting anyone. If nothing else make her a mascot and let her enjoy her life...

I have a special needs daughter, and I hope they choose to do the right thing. Because if they don't start now, I will be a force to be reckoned with by the time my daughter is in school.

I believe the request for a video prior to try-outs is a very reasonable one!

I have +20 years in the cheer and dance industry as a judge and coach even up to the collegiate level. I've seen other schools let girls with all level abilities cheer and I hope this school will do the same for this sweet girl. The drive, motivation and determination this girl could bring to their team is immeasurable.

I think this is a lovely thing to do. Why do we have schools anyway? They are to educate our children and help them learn to socialize.
