As a mother of a child with down syndrome who is on a school cheer team this does wonders for both the girl and the other cheerleaders. They learn compassion and how to work with others. One of our seniors graduated last year decided to go into special education because of working with my daughter. It is a great opportunity for all and should be supported.

Maddie could forever change thes lives of the rest of the girls on that squad and the coach for the better. Why not allow her to tryout for a non-competition team that performs at games but not competition??

Let this sweet girl cheer!!! It's about the kids and nothing more!! I cheered all 3 years at Coyle and never would've thought for one second not to have this amazing girl be a part of something she will remember and grow from for the rest of her life. Anyone against this should be ashamed of themselves and rethink what this is about!!

There is NO reason why this young lady CANNOT try out to be a cheerleader. She seems to have more school spirit then any cheerleader.
