It saddens me to think that this child is not able to peruse a sport she loves due to the district's inability to make concessions. Where would the harm be in allowing her extra time to learn the routine?

Everyone deserves a chance to try to have a great school experience not just academically. Concessions can be made available it's just a matter of be willing to see that she has a real struggle but still a desire that shouldn't be broken. Grown up life will be hard enough for her, have some compassion.

Please accept this petition as my support for Maddie and others with special needs to try-out for cheer. All kids deserve a chance and an exception. We all can grow and learn from the entire experience.

Praying to God for the cheer coach to give Maddie a chance. I feel like it would be a good learning experience for the girls that make the team. Kids with special needs are still ordinary kids with big dreams❤ You got this Maddie!

School is about developing the "whole" child not strictly academics. If that wasn't the case, then you wouldn't have extracurricular activities. I do not believe providing accommodations is an unfair request. Show some compassion & understanding.

What would it hurt to give her more than 4 days to learn what is required for tryouts? Everybody learns differently, this is just one example.

Please give her accommodation to know what will b judged on prior to tryouts. Her addition to the squad would be great for her and the other cheerleaders and school district .
