This will be a trajady if this would be loss. If I'm not mistaken wasn't this grandfather in that the city wouldn't raise the price up for us to play softball in watertown. Just putting this out there. I feel the city hasn't given us the best service as to keeping up of the fields ie north junior, eastern blvd just to list a few that need work on to have these brought up to the same level as the fair grounds fields.

Watertown does not have alot of extra-curricular outside activities for people to participate in. By raising the fee so much you are taking away a much enjoyed sport to many in the area. Remember, it is a SPORT not a BUSINESS!!
my grandpa, my father and all of my uncles have always played softball. i watch them on sundays. im 16 years old and i really am looking forward to being able to play with them. ive waited my whole life to play with them and now i might not be able to play at all?

Let's not get crazy here, we aren't millionaires. Let's be honest it's just a softball league.
I have grown up watching my father, my uncles and now my brother, cousins and friends play this game. We all look forward to Sunday sunshine and softball. It will be a shame to see it go.

This is Ridiculous, rude and one more thing Watertown does to keep their people fat and bored stiff.

I can not believe a 515% increase is necessary. This increase will drive teams right out of the league in this economy it is hard enough to get sponsors to donate the league fee. We already pay 45 dollars per game for umpires so adding this fee will kill the league on days there are double headers for teams which is most Sundays each team will pay 90 dollars for umpires and 60 dollars to the city. 150 dollars is unmanageable for some teams so we politely implore the city council and Mayor Graham to reconsider the raise in city fees. I understand an increase may be necessary to keep the fields groomed however the conditions we play in 515% is unjust and down right malicious because in our eyes you are trying to push us out of the city and we are as Jesse Roscia put it your Teachers Police officers CO's PO's Healthcare workers and most of all We are TAXPAYERS and our TAX dollars are what pay for those fields and your salaries in the first place.

Ever heard if seasonal depression? Our winters are too long in the north country to not have something for these people to look forward to when it's over. Believe me this is what they look forward to. Some players train all year long to prepare for the Sunday league season. Take this away from them and what do they have?
