we have been trying to get it dredged for awhile and nothing happens hope this will help.

The Lockwood Folly inlet is very important to people all over the country. Allowing this inlet to close would have a significant economic impact on this region and the surrounding states. I am in full support of maintaining this inlet as a functional inlet to from the Atlantic Ocean.

Why not use the sand from the inlet to restore the beach?
The inlet is dredge and the beach is restore!

The greatest treasures in our state are our access to natural resources both recreationally and commercially. These resources encouraged passion for the outdoors and influenced me to attain a degree in Fish and Wildlife Management. Living all across the state I saw public access being fundamental. As a wildlife technician, avid sportsman, and commercial fisherman; I see, the need to apply sound ecological knowledge to meet sustainable needs of both humans and wildlife. Access is key to people being exposed to these unique treasures and opportunities available in North Carolina. I hear so many locals say they haven't been fishing, duck hunting, etc....haven't had the oppurtunity, etc...Exposure leads to appreciation, and the more people having the oppurtunity stimulates appreciation and revenue for these accesses. I don't always like seeing a lot of boaters or sportsman on the water near me, but it's a fact, exposure leads to appreciation, and that leads to sustainability. Keep it open!
