I use the inlet a couple times a week. This week I had to go all the way to southport to access the ocean. Its an extra 20 nm to go that way.

I consider dredging of the inlet a critical factor in selecting Holden Beach as a vacation destination. If i cannot take my 27 foot fishing boat to the ocean through the Lockwood Folly inlet I will take my $10,000 vacation spend to a more convenient location.

Riverside dock has been locked up for use, dangerous navigating the river, ran aground a few times. Dredge it!

It is so important that this is dredged as soon as possible. It is the elected officials duty to take every viable cause seriously and oversee that the taxpayers money is spend wisely with taking into count not only what the taxpayers are urging of them but to be able to evaluate what the impact in the future will be.

Not dredging the Lockwood Foley Inlet will not only negatively impact our local fishermen, but will also have a negative impact on our the Holden Beach economy. It's mandatory the dredging take place immediately!!!

The Lockwood Folly inlet is used daily by commercial fisherman as well as recreational boaters. It's closure will create not only create increased financial burdens on those mentioned above, it will also increase the time away from family for many of the commercial fishermen. The Lockwood Folly inlet also increase the flow of recreational boaters and fishermen through Holden Beach who support many local businesses. The potential loss of revenue to these businesses could have a negative impact on the local economy.
Please reconsider and continue the dredging of this vital inlet.

This inlet needs to be left open. There many that make a living from using Lockwood folly inlet. It also helps the shellfish grow because of the water flow by not maintaining it the shellfish industry will be hurt and that's a shame because Lockwood folly has the best tasting shellfish around.
