The inlet is vital to the economic stability of Brunswick county and its many small business owners who rely on the inlet for the sustainability of their income. Allowing the inlet to close will not only affect these small businesses (which are the backbone of the community and county) but also tourism dollars for the coastal communities around Lockwood. Use some common sense and get the dredge to Lockwood now!

The Inlet must be dredged to eliminate a serious hazard to safe navigation for commercial and pleasure craft. The inability to safely use this inlet has a direct economic impact on all potential users.

The Lockwood Folly inlet is vital to the people and wildlife of the Oak Island and Holden Beach areas. I would like to see some of my Brunswick County taxes spent toward a terminal groin, jetty or scheduled dredging to keep this inlet open.

All of the inlets of NC should be kept open and accessible for all public use. The ecosystems of this state is what brings generations of tourists and local beach and fishing enthusiasts back here year after year greatly supporting the local restaurants and businesses. Without convienient ocean access, these contributors will simply find some other place to enjoy the ocean. Please do everything possible to keep the Lockwood Folly Inlet accessible.
