This inlet is a mess. The coasties could not even move the buoys to be more accurate without fear of running aground. This summer with the vacationers this will soon be a grave yard of boats running aground and damaged which in turn will put many peoples lives in jeopardy.

I go fishing with my dad and his boat is tied up by Betty's. We regularly use the Inlet and closing it will be a major inconvenience to not only us, but the charter boats who attract more tourists which is good for the economy. Don't close it!!

I agree this inlet needs to be dredged! The distance between Cape Fear and Little River is too far apart. Both Lockwood and Shalotte Inlets need to be maintained

I'll have property in Brunswick County and I go out of this Inlet quite often. I would love to see it taken care of soon.

Recreational fisherman spend millions of dollars in Brunswick County every year. If this convenient inlet is not passable, they will spend their dollars elsewhere!

And remember the increased danger for boaters in the Cape Fear is used by that many more boaters. Not to mention the fuel it would cost and the extra pollution that would be created by all boaters having to take the trip all the way up to the Cape Fear.
