Closing this inlet would be jeopardizing life's when water rescues are needed. Especially on the eastern end of Holden Beach and all of Oak Island. Not to mention the recreational and commercial fishing industry that uses this inlet daily.

Time to dredge the inlet, unless you want to pick up the bodies of tourists all summer long. I'm not gonna do it. As it is, this Inlet is a killer. It's extremely shallow, which also creates more current during tidal runs. My boat drafts 32", and I'm scared to use the inlet, which is only a mile from where I keep her. If something isn't done, I'll take my money elsewhere (out of Brunsco) just as a simple matter of safety and convenience. Little River is a long way from the ocean, but they have a JETTY.

This is a no brainer. This inlet must remain open for all sorts of reasons. Safety crews, habitat, local economy...Etc...

This inlet has been open my whole life. I have been running out of for years and year and hope we can keep it open. Its a shame for such a great inlet to go to waste!!!
