The Lockwoods Folly Inlet needs to be kept open and safe for seagoing traffic. In its current state, in addition to being a safety hazard to boaters, and not a reliable "escape path" for oceangoing vessels to avoid rough seas and move to the intracoastal waterway, it also requires that our local fishing fleet burn a lot more fuel - an economic and environmental issue - sailing to Southport for safe ocean access.

I grew up fishing with my Pawpaw from this inlet. Every time my husband and I go out, it takes me to some of my happiest memories! There def needs to be some rock jetties put in though. We fight the sand and dodge sand bars each time we go out. Please keep it and clean it up!!

This is such a no brainer. The importance of this inlet is paramount the both sport and commercial fishing. I can't imagine not having access to this inlet.
