We come down 3 times a year. Paying higher boat registeration fees that should have gone for dredging. Guess we will move to Georgia or Florida. NC doesn't care about its people except another tax source. Dredge the inlet

I work for a local towing company so I get to see first hand how the inlet is closing and fast. There's times where the highest water level is around 3-4 ft below my boat. That's not much water for an inlet.

One of the attractions to living where we do is the quick access to the ocean that the Lockwood Inlet provides. A navigable inlet will continue to attract home purchasers, renters and tourists.

I have boated 22 years out of this inlet,this is the worst condition i'v seen in that time. Its time to get this inlet on a regular dredge schedual!

The LFI is a much traveled inlet for both commercial and recreational fishermen. Leaving this undredged would present many safety issue for quick response to boaters emergencies.
