Please help keep the inlet open! It's gotten very dangerous and a lot of the tourists don't know. We don't want anyone to get hurt because of the shallow waters.

This inlet the life blood of the river , our oyster gardens r being closed due to not having enough water flow , the commercial fishing boats m recreational boats r risking their lives n lively hood every time they make or not make it thru the inlet ! The beach renourishment is needed , but is following h the inlet up , A jetty is needed too every stop the beaches from eroding and will keep our inlet open !

Without this inlet, the beaches better start looking for lifeguards!!!!!! This inlet is a tool necessary in the rescue of many!!!!!

This inlet has been open for hundreds of years, maybe even longer. And now it's starting to close in recent years coincidently around the times "beach renourishment" projects started coming around. What do you expect to happen when you waste millions of dollars pumping loose sand from the ocean floor to a beach. The longshore current is just going to push it right back down the beach right into the mouth of the inlet.

Just curious why did we dig material from off shore to renourish the beach ? Why was the inlet not dug and that material pumped in the beach ? If we had funding to dig from off shore why not kill two birds with one stone and have the inlet dug out and the beach built up in one job ? Doesn't make sense

No excuse to let this navigatable passageway dry up. Don't let tax payers dollars go to waste building another park somewhere or environmentalists tell you otherwise. Keep the industry alive and the Lockwood Folly Inlet open.

Oak Island/Holden Beach; y'all need to get it together. We shouldn't have to beg for a navigable Inlet every year. We were told last year it would be put on the schedule. Lets make it happen!
