Help keep our kids outdoor toys at our flats!

Would be a shame for the children to lose their play area. Its a fab idea

the equipment is not doing any harm & if nearby residents are not objecting to the equipment staying up when not in use, what's the problem. H&S has gone to far these days

These children deserve somewhere to play the residents are responsible caring parents who want the best for thier children.

Love the idea though. But If the council disapproves, why don't they replace it with 'authorised' equipment? I understand the council simply don't want to be sued if a child hurts themselves on their property.

I use to live in east street there is no where safe for them to play at lest they are at the Own home playing so there not getting in trouble leave them be and let them have fun good luck guys

I used to live in Leighton Buzzard and still visit friend's there. I have never heard of the council wanting to remove outdoor toys/equipment before and I lived there for 10 years. It was and still is a very community spirited place and what these residents have done is an inspiration of that to which the council should be proud! I too have a child with adhd and it's not sensible to expect patents to send kids off to parks in this day and age especially ones with disabilities! Being able to have children playing in close proximity to lots of parents is a brilliant idea and in all honesty what harm are they doing? You cannot put this type of equipment away after each use and accidents can happen anywhere. Even though I'm no longer a resident of the area it is and will always be a place close to my heart and I hope you do the right thing for the children and leave their equipment alone.

Nasty council I hate them

I think it's absolutely disgusting that the council are trying to take away the children's play area. For some children it's needed more than most.

You are unfairly penalising these families for living in flats, they have access to a communal garden and should be able to use it, in fact it should be encouraged for the children to play outside in the fight against child obesity

What a lovely thing to have for a communal garden, when I lived in flats with my young children I would of loved to have had something like this for them. I don’t see the problem if the residents pay for, maintain the equipment.

Kids playing outside is much better than sitting in tech all day the equipment should be allowed to stay.

I think its great that the residents are doing this for the kids I also think people should be more kid friendly it seems where ever you live these days neighbours complain about the kids I live in a little close with a handful of kids and we received a letter telling us to keep our kids in the garden and not allow them to play in the close people need to get a life...x

Can’t kids actually play now??? At least they’re being watched and not out there causing a nuisance !!!!

If you get rid of it at least replace it with safe equipment. It helps with health and being able to let off steam.

This is terrible. The kids get fresh air and exercise. also good for community spirit.

Let them keep what they have or provide something better. Let's keep the children happy
