Please I'm begging just let me have my baby girl back. I'm an animal behaviouralist, vet asst, groomer, ex show handler and so on. I used to breed dogs but no longer as I'm ill in daily pain. It takes so much to properly raise dogs. It's not throwing them in cold metal and stone cages, with food water a bed and they just go to the bathroom in that tiny space. I know my babies. I remember waking up at 2am to puppy screams, I looked over in the bassinet by my bedside (where I whelp all my pups but only 6 litters with two breeds) A large pup was already born in the corner huge, and gone. These things happen. But my Versace "Dior" aka my baby who ran away, was still attatched to her mom by her cord, I woke my hubby up as Versace kept spinning in circles trying to get her sac out. So we worked together and then tidied up, helped my girl latch on (aka suck on her Mom's nipple for milk as they need it to live). We went to wash up, came back to bed An that quickly her brother was born and we got him to latch on quickly. I kept my eye on them, 24/7 until her brother went to his loving new home. We even did a home check, did contracts to ensure he'd be cared for and neautered. His new owners cried they were so happy to have him. When we left we called him to say good by, he came around the corner, looked at us and went back. Then we knew he was with his family. I'm telling this because I have an amazing memory. Even remember being in my crib. I have 5 other dogs, on a 5acre place with a parrot and farm animals. I would have no reason to go to the SPCA and get a random dog. All our boys are neutered. And even if they weren't I'm a good trainer! Just please please let me have her back. My love for her is priceless but I'd pay tons just to see her again let alone have her. It hurts so much that the SPCA is name calling, being mean, yelling at me, stalking me on the net.... that's really mean. It's hard enough.

Get that poor lady her dog back, I appreciate your concern but if nobody else claims that puppy and has better documentation, there's no reason to be so short-minded and overly bureaucratic for god sakes!!!

Please do the right thing and return the dog to the rightful owner . Why would you not let these people take the dog with all the dogs out there suffering and wanting good Jones and you deliberately turn down a good one. I guarantee you will find many, many credible references for Jackie and David and any animal would be blessed to live with them .

How terrible! This screams of greed! Sounds like the shelter is more interested in making money off her adoption than reuniting the dog with it's family! For shame. A disgusting and horrifying situation

The dog's reaction when she saw her human family should be proof enough.

The blue color is born black and fads to grey/blue. As a puppy this female would have appeared with very little white hairs and would have gotten lighter with each grooming. I am a pure bred king time breeder and understand color genetics. Please return Jackie her dog.

Return the dog to the owner. As the dog is now up for adoption anyway and they want it and the dog recognizes them. Do the right thing for the dog and this poor couple.

No one should have to fight to have their dog returned! Accidents happen, equipment can break or be faulty, but that does NOT make it a "finders keepers" situation. Rescues are now noted for their profit motivated retail "rescue", whether they are legally obtained or not!!

This is unconscionable and the SPCA needs to be made accountable for ensuring pets are returned to their owners

Several have called you in regards to this issue & your staff have hung up without listening to the caller! She had proof via pictures but they are puppy pictures! ! She is a rural farmer. Some people breed a dog, vaccinate their own dogs & seldom use vets, groom their own dogs ( she was a groomer!) & still take very good care of their dog!! But may not have proof other than puppy pictures! The dog owner has been in to your facility many times. If she just wanted a dog she would have adopted one. She is looking for one specific dog, the one she lost. The one that she bred!! The one that squirms with excitement when she sees her ( & not for other strangers), as this one does. Do a DNA test to see if this dog is related to the father of the dog who is still alive, if you truly doubt that she is the owner!! That would clear the air & show you do want to do the right thing!

"Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions or concerns you might have. "
- I called twice, and then left a message for the manager, with a request to call me back. Sadly enough the SPCA did not bother with a return call.
I have known Jackie for many years, even worked with her and I know she would never lie about something like this, in fact I have never noticed her lying at all.
And as a parent I can say I will believe that a parent will always recognise their kids, no matter if two or four legged.

I have ever know Jackie and David for a number of years. Although I have never met the dog in question I do know that if Jackie says it is her dog it is She is not looking for a replacement she is looking for her dog. I have also had dealings with the SPCA and know they don't always care about getting a dog back to its rightful owner no matter how good a person they are. Stop being so cruel to this little dog and her owner and let them get back togeather

I've known Jackie and Dave for many years in the show world and can assure you she not only knows her dogs but she would never scam the SPCA to get a dog. The fact you are accusing her of this in your comments tells me you know nothing about her or her history with dogs.
