Friends and Family of Jan Forever: Deny Her Killer's Parole

Cesar Dizon should die in jail for his cowardly murdered of Jan Rubinstein.

I did not get a chance to meet Jan before she died but had an opportunity to meet her daughters thru my two daughters. One experienced that I will never forget was when my eldest daughter, who at that time was 4 years old was a kindergarten classmate of Jan's youngest child, Megan. It was the first week of school at Harvest and the kids were supposed to be taking a nap , my daughter, heard Megan crying and whispered why she was crying. She said she misses her mother. The two kids started talking and my daughter then tried to console Megan and informed her that my daughter's dad who also passed away before she was born due to a brain aneurism told Megan that Jan and my daughter's dad must be looking down and watching over them. Their teacher caught the two girls talking and I was called in to meet the teacher who I believed was new to Guam. I confirmed to her the stories of two girls. Thru Megan, this is where I met her older sisters. Rachel, the second to the oldest child also became friends with my eldest daughter Nikki and my youngest one, Amanda. As a mother, I can not imagine how the three girls survive without the love and affection of a mother. I saw the girls taking care of each other while in elementary school and trying to be there for each other. The sadness in their faces showed how much this girls had to mature fast in order to survive life. I believe that each one of us has time to leave the earth but taking someone's life is something that is unacceptable. Considering there are three lives that suffer during the times of Jan's death. I am signing this petition and asking the Board to DENY the parole request of Cesar Dizon. There's no amount of time serve that can replace and bring Jan back.

Deny parole. Murdering a Defense Attorney is surely equal to the murder of a Police Officer !! Without Law and Order, we have anarchy.

Please deny the parole request for convicted murderer Cesar Dixon.

Surely the murder of a defense attorney undermines the heart of justice as much as the murder of a police Officer. This was no ordinary murder. I lived and worked in Guam for 15 years. Jan was a dear friend and this is a heinous crime.

Please do not release this man form prison. If he can shoot someone like Jan in a stairwell I do nto feel safe about my wife or daughters.

My dictionary defines life as life. Mr. Dizon took a life, was sentenced to life, and should remain in a cell for the rest of his life. How is that not clear?

I believe the SOB should serve out his life sentence. NO parole !!!

As someone from Guam, I care about the safety of the community and do not want this murderer to gain parole. He should serve the full sentence he was given.

To whom it may concern: I have been a lawyer for many years, and during that time have interacted with hundreds of attorneys. On a few occasions, I've come across an attorney that is special. Someone who had that something extra and you just knew they were going to do great things. Jan Rubinstein was such a person. She was smart, diligent, and zealously represented her clients. At the same time, she was charming and well-liked. I can count on one hand the attorneys I've met who combine all those traits. The legal community lost a shining star when Jan was murdered. The sad truth is that there are some debts that can never be repaid. The senseless and cowardly murder of a young mother with three small children, who was just doing her job, is such a debt. Cesar Dizon owes a debt he can never repay and he needs to stay in prison for the rest of his life.

He deserves to stay in prison for such a heinous, cold-blooded crime.

No parole for this cowardly criminal .

All one has to do is ask yourself, if that was your Mother, your sister, or your wife, who can never speak, love, or share anything in life again, what would your decision be. Add that to those wonderful children she left behind and a father who did not live very long after the event and one can feel multiple impacts of this great tragedy. Put yourself in the situation of having a loved one killed in cold blood like she was, would you ever think of the perp walking free? A great human being's life was taken because she helped someone in time of need. He has not served near enough time.

Dizon should get life in prison without possibility of parole. Her daughters have suffered enough and it is insane to allow him out of prison.
