Friends and Family of Jan Forever: Deny Her Killer's Parole

Jan was a wonderful mother, beautiful woman and a great girl friend. Her murder tore out a huge piece of my heart. Dixon killed her, killed the mother of three, and should remain incarcerated for betterment of our community. The system should remain strong and resolute. Tom Polevich.

Jan was a sweet person and well loved by many. She can not be replaced. She will be missed.

Someone capable of shooting a woman in the head just for doing her job should never be released. Please deny parole for this man.

As a fellow family law lawyer, Jan was a friend, a colleague, and an adversary. Her life was cut short because she was doing her job. Her lovely children lost their mother because she was doing her job. Nothing Mr. Dizon can say or do justify his not being punished by staying in prison for the rest of his life for this cowardly, heinous act.

I knew Jan as an exceptional dedicated lawyer. Killing officers of the court does not ever warrant parole.

Jan's violent death and the shocking impact it had and continues to have on so many would be of no worth if this killer is granted parole. Deny his parole request.

I knew Jan Rubenstein and her daughters for a number of years prior to her murder. Her oldest, Molly, remains close to our family to this day. The social and mental damage Cesar Dizon inflicted on Jan's family is immeasurable and the subsequent life imprisonment sentence demands strict adherence to prevent future murderous actions by other demented persons against innocent persons and their families. Our children were born and raised on Guam and we collectively can not think of a more unconscionable act that the murder of Jan Rubenstein. Do not release Cesar Dizon before his death in jail. His future crimes would be your legacy.

A murderer who performed this act in cold blood does not deserve parole. EVER!

I remember when this happened. She was so young just trying to do what she does to support her children. She defended, an abused wife. This man does not deserve to ever be relased from prison. Her children will never stop suffering from losing their mother at such a young age. Please take this into consideration and keep him locked up for the rest of his life for the damage he has done to her family. In your decision, just consider if this happened to you. Having taken a beautiful life, and the mother of 3 young children, this killer does not deserve his freedom.

I knew Jan's three daughters since they lost their mom as they were good friends with my own daughter. I am still close to Molly. I know from those times I spent with Molly that she grieved and missed her mom terribly along with her sisters and they all had difficulty growing up without her and then when their father passed away, that made it even worse. For the sake of these children and for justice's sake, please do not release Mr. Dizon. If they have to continue to suffer their loss, I believe he needs to continue to suffer his loss of freedom too.

I petition the Guam Parole Board to DENY CESAR BEDA DIZON'S request for parole. If he is released, Jan's family, her friends, Dizon's ex-wife, and possibly her friends and family, will always have to watch their backs. Tell him to seek God's forgiveness and to pray earnestly for God's love to fill his heart so he gets a shot at the next life. Cesar hurt many individuals when he shot Jan. If you release him, fear will be another thing they will have to cope with.

Jan was a strong hearted women, very humble and loving person.

As someone who has defended accused criminals on Guam for over 25 years, I am very concerned about the safety of all professionals who work in the "system" and sometimes have to take an unpopular stand. I think of probation officers, CPS workers and victims' advocates in particular. All of them are easy targets away from work, yet the law must show that their safety is paramount. In addition, most of the many killers I have known did not intend to kill. Dizon's crime was aggravated murder in the real sense of the word, with malice aforethought, stalking, and the use of a firearm. This is far worse than most defendants, whose crime was less egregious, but who did not manage such a good deal from the prosecution. Most criminals let their victims live. That is a fact. Even when enraged, even knowing that a living victim will put them in DOC for many years, most criminals still let their victims live. We should not cheapen the decisions made by those who let their victims walk away, by forgetting the cold-blooded savagery of this murder.

Deny his parole

She's dead. He lives, at least he should not be free. This was cold blooded murder. Deny him forever! He should die in prison. I knew her she was a lovely person with a wonderful future. He destroyed that. He needs only mercy from God.
