we recently found a VERY sweet black cat named marilyn! she is a long hair cat so the shedding won’t be as bad as our dog’s fur, who is a short hair. She gets along very well with dogs and our dog does not mind other cats. she is 6 years old so she doesn’t need the amount of care a kitten needs. she is super affectionate, talkative, and likes to be picked up. we have a multitude of places to place the food and litter box out of the way where our dog wouldn’t be able to reach them. The only con is that my brother is leaving in the fall for boarding school and i will be leaving for college in about a year and a half, and they don’t want to be taking care of it the 2ish years that i would have to be living at college in the dorms. Nevertheless, 2 years isn’t very long and she would end up being with me for a much longer time after i’m done living in the dorms. not to mention the fact that adopting is an amazing act of kindness more people should do!
