Close the Greater Vancouver Zoo & Save the last remaining Animals

I hope we get to close this place down. Keeping animals in captivity is wrong in general.

We are better than this. We know animals deserve better. Zoos need to be a thing of the past.

Zoos suck.the animals are all sad.

It saddens me that I live in Vancouver and used to go to this zoo every summer without knowing all this faults and incidents. Save the animals, nobody deserves this.

It saddens me way too much now to go to the "zoo"

Ugh I'm so torn. I love zoos. I just don't love the conditions that these poor animals have to live through. Its not a great life. So please remove the Greater Vancouver Zoo and safely deliver these remaining animals to a sanctuary.

While keeping animals in captivity is wildly contested, it can certainly be argued that zoos provide education and rehabilitation programs that potentially save species. The Vancouver Zoo does NOT do this and has never done so.

I went to the Greater Vancouver Zoo for the first time last year and it was the most depressing experience I had. I felt so bad for these animals. All the animals in this zoo looked depressed and miserable. I don't agree with zoos and I will never like them. The climate in British Columbia is not the proper climate for these animals. Went I went here I saw a giraffe in a cage with only enough room for it to stand. There was no room for this giraffe to move. These animal shouldn't be locked in a closed encounter for our enjoyment. They should have the freedom to move around and not suffer. No animal should suffer like these animal in this zoo.

Animals deserve a real life, and real care. The Vancouver Zoo is an abomination.

I always enjoyed the Zoo, and I honestly thought this petition was a little exaggerated. But listing off the unacceptable events that could have been avoided elsewhere made me think differently. I'm signing this for the animals.

Save the animals don't make the stay there where they don't belong and let them free

Irresponsible handlers and administration... this is absolutely unacceptable. A zoo should be a sanctuary especially for endangered species. These animals should placed where they can thrive.
