Since no authority witnessed what actually occurred, there is no way to assess causation in this case. Buffy should be returned to her owners/family.

So sick of the discrimination these poor dogs face! Buffy's should not receive a death sentence for one altercation, especially one in which the facts have not even been investigated and her true temperament has not been PROPERLY assessed. Buffy deserves better! Do better @peninsulahumanesociety !!!

Buffy and her owner were treated unfairly. The bite profile alone sh I was Buffy did not bite the horrific dog owner. Do the right thing and release Buffy.

This was handled poorly from day 1. Based on the facts Buffy was labeled because of her breed not by what actually happened. More people need to educate themselves and realize this is an amazing breed, loyal, loving, affectionate. Humans need to do better. Society needs to do better

Buffy was clearly trying to protect her owner against a vicious attack by the other dog owner, it wasn't her fault!

There is no evidence that Buffy bit the other person and both dogs should be looked at not just Buffy when the other dog was aggressive 1st. Buffy has no prior issues and has never bitten or been aggressive before. The person that assaulted and hit should have been arrested for assault. Seems as though someone may know someone in higher places to be receiving preferential treatment. Allow Buffy to go home.

If you are scared of a puppy, WHO HASN'T DONE ANYTHING TO YOU, there is NO REASON that you NEED TO HIT that puppy.
I am saddened to hear of Buffy being held at the humane society who has labeled her a VICIOUS ANIMAL.
It is the person that hit Buffy in the head who should be labeled VICIOUS and PUT AWAY!!
Very, very ANGRY at what has transpired

Please stop punishing these dogs and send Buffy back home. We need to stop going after these pit bulls.

I wish some pet owners, and especially dog owners would educate themselves on breeds. We have law enforcement, animal control officers that have no clue of how to go about certain breeds. And as a result, we right away stereotype certain breeds as "vicious". In most cases, if your dog "fails", it's because the owner failed that dog. No excuses, be responsible and see how your dog will appreciate you and be a happy dog. This picture says it all!!!

Please save Buffy. Her family has already been through a traumatic and stressful experience. They need their animal companion back to help them cope and make it through the trauma.
Accidents happen when dogs get into fights. This case sounds like pure discrimination. Please release Buffy. To take her life for such an incident is criminal and will traumatize the family for decades to come.
Do the right thing, let her go home safely to her family.
Please save her
