Aren't we long past judging an animal based on breed or appearance? The evidence in this case clearly shows at worst it was mutual combat between the dogs owners and the animals were thrown in the middle, and at best it was the "victims" own small dog who bit her. Return this family pet immediately.

Please release this poor dog to its rightful owner. This poor dog only tried to protect it’s own.

You need to take into consideration that the evidence of the bite radius does not match, Free Buffy!

Buffy is innocent and should not be treated unfairly based on her breed!

If the teeth marks show it is not hos bite, then this is unfair and unjust…. Free the dog and get a lawyer and sue the department!

I had a similar situation happen with my female bully several years ago. The other party blamed by dog for biting him when he came into my backyard to retrieve his dog who had gotten through the fence on his side. He hit my dog because his and my dog were close to each other. He claimed he was scared my dog would attach his. When he turned to run, my dog chased him and scratched him. My girl was taken for 30 days and we had to go through a hearing as well. The AC officer said they could tell over the 30 day period how sweet, mellow, and non-reactive/non-aggressive my girl was. She was stereo typed just like Buffy for being a Bully breed dog. We must end the stereo type and treat these dogs as we would treat any dog. They don’t deserve to die because someone thinks they’re a bad dog. Please don’t sentence Buffy’s family to a life of heartbreak.

Let her go home there's no evidence it was buffy that bit. Even if so the owners were in a physical altercation at the moment and she could have just been defending herself and or owner!!! Do temperament test and let her go home.

This is not justice! It’s discrimination. Release the dog to its owner.

This dog should be back with its family. Shame on the SPCA for treating this case poorly. I was a donor and I will stop after hearing this story.

Please review the facts and don't give in to ignorant fear. Dogs are inherently good and those who are afraid of them should not be allowed to spread lies about them
