There are few people whp don't choose to live in the community. There would seem little excuse to keep Anthony apart in this way. Why wouldn't any good agency work to help a young man have more independent living? Give him his rights to controlo over as much of his life as possible.

How Anthony has been treated is a complete disgrace and abuse of his human rights. This has to stop! Disabled people are currently being treated worse than animals!!! :(

This is sad. Not all autistics are the same. Just because Risperdal may work well for one autistic doesn't mean it will work for all autistics. Side effects are serious and should have alarmed staff to make drastic changes. This is truly heartbreaking and I hope that he and all the other autistic individuals at the facility are closely looked at after hearing this horror story. No one should have their way of communicating taken away and be forced to take medication that isn't neccessary.

I am appalled that someone who has committed no crime, been convicted in no court of law and proven to be capable of making his own informed decisions should be incarcerated in a 'care home' forced to take medication and given good which is clearly bad for him, all for a private company to make profit from him. Furthermore to remove his means of communication, his contact with family and support network and isolate him even further from the world is barbaric, immoral and definitely illegal. Keep fighting for him.

Very obviously competent to communicate given equipment - watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJWadCgdlng&sns=tw. Sepriving him of his communicator is to punish him for his condition. Doesn't come much more arbitrarily cruel than that. Shame on

This is barbaric. I am a professional in the field of mental health and my son has autism. These people are wielding pseudo power; they have no right to do what they are doing....they are not true professionals but rather 'quacks' and undermine the loyalty and dedication of the vast majority of people working to support those with ASC.

This is a gross violation of Anthony's human rights. Disgusted at NAS for not intervening in such an obvious case of disability discrimination.

Private provision of care is not care, its all about profit.
