This is a crime. Students can barely afford food.

It is disturbing that this decision was made without consultation with our community. Students are finding it very difficult to pay for their education with out this additional increase. This burden must not be placed on the students.

Show me where there is pay parking anywhere in town? Start now and it won't stop till every spot is monitored and charging a rate.

As if tuition is not expensive enough, paid parking is setting students to their limits. There is not enough parking to accomodate all the students as it is now, why start charging? You will see students taking up McDonaldls parking lot, the rec-center parking and North Star Church. Then what, they start to charge for parking at these facilities? I think this is a bad idea, on the flip side, there is public transportation available to students (i think for free?) that they can and should also be utilizing.

I am very concerned about the effect this would have on the rec center which is already a very busy place

we should be trying to keep the costs down for the students instead of burdening them further.

Would be just one more reason for our kids to leave town to go to school instead of drawing more kids in...worst idea ever!

As an only parent (single mother) and a full time student at the college surviving solely off of student loans I can say that with the already struggle to come up with what is called a " student contribution " of 2200 dollars per semester to be able to educate myself, a burden that falls back onto my family members and my ability to budget, that the additional cost of paid parking will only cripple me further and make the financial struggles I already experience much worse. We need a smarter, more educated, and aware society and it is seemingly impossible to do that with the constant battle of how much it costs to do so! So with all due respect, go fuck yourself and find money somewhere else other than targeting the vulnerable and struggling students of CNC quesnel!

Not much of a way to encourage people to come to the College.

This would be the start of a slippery slope. We want to maintain Quesnel as a "free parking" city.

Unfair money grab from the people who can afford it the least.

I totally agree with Laurey-Anne's comments reflecting the councils decision to pass the resolution on Monday. We do not have any paid parking in Quesnel. The Campus was initiated and partially funded by the people of Quesnel and to allow a company make a profit from this space with no consultation is a betrayal of the people of Quesnel

Poor students pay enough to go to school, let's not add insult to injury by charging them to park there too!!!

We do not want Pay parking at our college. Especially do not want Impark running it. I believe they have a very poor implementation record.
