I noticed the other day when taking my grandaughter Lily to school, that there was no crossing person. Surely the council can afford to pay someone for the few hours anyone will be there to do the job. Will it gave to take a fatality to make them do this?

I think every school should have a crossing lady my friend got knocked down when we are at junior school n only then did they get a lollipop person let's not have an accident happen before a lollipop person is appointed

This is a serious issue that needs to be taken into serious consideration. I'm shocked that the council agreed it was a good idea to remove the lollipop lad.

Az a resident living across from this school az I yes agree to a crossing lady for children's safety parents picking their children up should be a bit more responsible themselves at times eg actually watch their kids not just letting them run away from them while they stand calling plus if more people Walked instead of coming in cars wen they live local that would lesson the parking problem which az residents have to endure ignorant inconsiderate people

It's such a dangerous Road. So busy with two schools and a bus route. Quads, motorbikes are rife in this area. Please help this school. Get the lollipop lady back.

Children of Heather Gerth Primary Acadamy are as important as children at any other school in the Dearne Arier and should be afforded the same services ! Their safty is our prime concern and should be the prime concern of the local council . Lollipop patrol is an important part of school life and health and safty of our children in fact it is their right to a safe Journy home .

As a parent of a child that was so close to becoming a victim of the roads, we urgently need a crossing lady/patrol

I have experienced how the drivers drive round that school, and the lack of parking makes them mad and the driving gets erratic. I, as an adult, would not attemp to cross that road at school time, so how on earth do you expect children to? It's unheard of, get the councillors out doing the job, and then they can see how bad it is, and some budget might be found then.

I always stop to let children cross but not everyone does, impatient drivers shout at children who are trying to cross. I wouldn't like to think it was my son's school either a new crossing lady or pavement needed to enable children to walk upto lacewood and use their crossing safely.
