Petition: Hearty meals to be provided by the MOH to our brave frontliner heroes!

Although our frontliners have been putting their lives at risk to serve us, healthcare workers have been recently discriminated against by some members of the public.

Not only have they been shunned, some have difficulties buying food, booking a taxi/ private car hire and some have even been kicked out of their accommodation.

While members of the public sector have stepped in to provide meals for these brave frontliners, it is not a sustainable model.

We encourage the MOH to provide nutritious meals to these often unsung heroes, especially the back of the house frontliners that sometimes get left out (eg. Cleaners, housekeepers, pharmacists, radiologists, etc)

Think about the positive impact it will have on their psychological state to know that they are being cared for in the same way they care for others.

This would be a good use of our taxpayers money.

One private organization supported the healthcare frontliners with 15,000 bento's and 15,000 bubble tea during the circuit breaker last year when much of the focus was on providing meals for FMW. They continued the provision of meals + bubble tea + kueh boxes this year when there was a call for support recently. Moving forward, it is not a sustainable model.

Many may say, our heroes can afford a meal but with datelines and pressing urgency to clear the backlog or to clean surface areas multiple times daily, many have skipped their meals and/or had very short breaks. Spending time in a Q for limited food options is yet another issue. Its not about the affordability but the quest to provide and care for our heroes in the best way possible!

Say YES to the full support for our heroes and do you part and support this petition!
