It is ALL about the money! It needs to be abolished and soon. The Water rates are a crime! The return per dollar is terrible. Let's become part of Mooresville, Plainfield or Indy depending on where you live. You already pay taxes to these townships time to get the services we are already paying for.

I built here in 2001 and next door neighbors built the worse privacy fence u could ever imagine, long story short HOA has done nothing it is still halfway standing and that home is on its 5th owners it's been in forecloser twice. We had to mow that yard for different summers that sat empty. Family members come to visit and get tow stickers on their cars. Security does nothing. Pool hours suck! When the kids go back to school so the adults should have the pool to them selfs, nope they close the pools half days until the kids get home from school. Most parents use the pool as a day care over the summer anyway. I could go on for days, but I will stop there. OUT WITH THE OLD HOA IN WITH THE NEW!

I vote for home owners to take it over. If the home owners had more control it would be a beautiful place and a better neighborhood. No one cares because they feel they really are not in control.

I agree. It's a waste of our hard earned money. I'm in the commons and there are always huge pot holes that take forever to get filled in. But I've noticed that pretty much everywhere especially on heartland blvd.. The snow removal they have in place is a joke. Our area is always the last to be taken care of. Then we always end up driving on ice for days.

I own a home in Heartland Crossing and it has cost me 1000's of dollars in late fees and lawyer fees for things that could have been corrected really fast if they would have contacted me. They know were I live when the cost are over a thousand of dollars. When I bought the house in Dec. of 2010, I was never told about the assn. This M Group contacted me and informed me that they were a collection agency for them. This was in December of 2012. The fees were outrageous. Now I have it marked to be paid in advance. Then in February of 2013 I was issued a bill for attorney fees of $200 to have a storage shed (the children used as a play house) removed that was in the enclosed yard for a year. Told me they sent numerous letters and I ignored them, but knew how to find me when the bill was out of control. It took that lawyer 1 hour and 10 minutes to write a letter at $175 an hour. I could go on and on. They are as crooked as they come. My lawyer told me to take them to court, but who can afford that. You have my signature.

I know my neighbor has a barn and a pool in his backyard but nothing done. I personally don't care bit if those are the rules then all should be the same. I don't see that the area would be any worse if the people did this themselves..way to much money for nothing getting done!

I was one given a ticket for having a truck with a flat tire in my driveway but the house down the street that has the daycare can leave their giant plastic toy houses and pools in the front yard. I find the arbitrary rule follow tedious and stupid. Also I've noticed people can park on the street now without getting stickered. If you're not going to enforce rules then I don't see a point in having an HOA.
